Who we are

Kshetra for Android (package com.coderbunch.kshetra) is provided by PINETECH IT SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (Pinetech ITS) under the Coderbunch brand. It is used by the staff of temples that run the Kshetra temple management system, to record offerings, bookings, donations and devotee details for that temple.

The temple that employs the staff decides what is recorded and is responsible for that data. We provide the software, and act on the temple’s behalf where we host its Kshetra server.

What the app handles

• Staff account: name, email address and role, used to sign in. Accounts are created by the temple administrator; the app has no public sign-up.
• Devotee records entered by staff: name, phone number, nakshatra (birth star), gothram, address, family members, and the person each offering is made in the name of.
• Transactions: vazhipadu bills, advance bookings, donations, hundi collections, amounts owed and repayments, with the payment method and any UPI or card reference the clerk types in.
• Printing: receipts are sent over Bluetooth to a thermal printer the user has already paired. The Bluetooth permission is used only for this.

The app does not collect location, contacts, photos, files, advertising identifiers or device identifiers. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics. It does not process payments: it only records payments the temple received.

Where it is stored

Records are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the temple’s Kshetra server and stored there. Sign-in tokens are kept in Android’s encrypted storage.

So the counter keeps working without internet, the app also keeps on the phone the temple’s price list, the current day’s bills, donations and hundi entries, and a list of up to 500 recent devotees. Entries made offline are sent to the server once it can be reached. This copy is in the app’s private storage and is removed when the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared.

Who can see it

Only signed-in staff of the same temple, limited by the role the temple gave them. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties. Where Pinetech ITS hosts the temple’s server, our staff access it only to run, secure and support the service, or when the law requires it.

Retention

Records are kept for as long as the temple needs them for its accounts and audit. Financial records may have to be kept for the period the law requires.

Correction and deletion

Devotees and staff can ask the temple office to correct or delete their personal details, or email us at hello@pinetechits.com and we will pass the request to the temple and act on its instruction. See how to delete data.

Children

The app is for adult temple staff and is not directed at children.
