Who we are
ShipLift Progress Bar (“ShipLift”) is a Shopify app provided by PINETECH IT SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (Pinetech ITS) under the Coderbunch brand. This policy explains what the app processes when a merchant installs it and when shoppers visit a store that uses it.
Information from merchants
When you install ShipLift, Shopify shares your store domain and an access token so the app can work with your store. Shopify’s session information may include details of the staff account that opened the app, such as name, email address and language. We use it to authenticate you inside Shopify admin.
We store the settings you choose, including your goal amount, currency, reward tiers, messages, colours and placement. The app also saves a copy of the checkout settings to a metafield on your store so the checkout extension can display them.
The app requests permission to read products, orders, markets and locales. It does not currently read or store your orders, products or customer records.
Information from shoppers
The storefront bar reads the shopper’s cart from your store to calculate progress. It sends usage events to our server: event type (such as “shown” or “goal reached”), cart value, goal amount, your store domain and a random session identifier created for that page view.
We do not receive shopper names, email addresses, addresses, payment details, Shopify customer IDs or the contents of the cart. The session identifier is not stored in cookies and is not linked to an individual.
In the shopper’s browser, the bar stores whether it was dismissed (and until when) in local storage, and whether the celebration has already been shown in session storage. These values stay on the device.
How we use information
We use this information to show the bar with your settings, display the analytics dashboard in your admin, keep the service secure and provide support. We do not sell information, use it for advertising or combine it with data from other stores.
Providers and location
The app runs on Railway infrastructure with a PostgreSQL database. Shopify provides the platform, authentication and checkout extension environment. Hosting providers process technical request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. Data may be processed outside your country.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall ShipLift, we delete your app session and settings, including the daily analytics summaries. About 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify sends a store deletion request and we delete all remaining data for your store, including individual usage events.
We respond to Shopify’s customer data and deletion requests. Because we do not store customer identifiers, shopper events cannot be linked to a specific customer.
Your choices and requests
Merchants can switch the bar off in the app or theme editor at any time, or uninstall to start deletion. To ask about, correct or delete information, email hello@pinetechits.com from the address associated with your store. Shoppers can contact the store they bought from, or email us.
Changes
We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change and show a new effective date. The separate website privacy notice covers coderbunch.com and email enquiries.
