A supplier may deliver an order in two trips. Replacing the ordered quantity with the first delivery hides what is still outstanding.
Prepare your input
Create a purchase order with supplier, date, expected date, currency and line items. Verify product identity, unit price and ordered quantity before sharing a printable copy.
Work through the task
In Purchase Order Builder, save the order and set its status to Ordered. When goods arrive, select a line and record the additional received quantity. Two partial receipts accumulate while the original order total stays intact; receipts cannot exceed ordered units. The report shows received and outstanding amounts. Export printable HTML with the stable order ID for the supplier or receiving team.
Example to try
An order requests ten units. The supplier delivers four on Monday and three on Friday. Record receipts of four and three; the ordered quantity remains ten and outstanding becomes three. Check the packing slip and any damage before recording. Receiving ten again by mistake should be rejected rather than silently creating an over-receipt.
Check the result
Count physical goods, compare packing slips and inspect damaged units before recording receipt. Reconcile the remaining quantity after each delivery and confirm an edit did not accidentally change price or currency.
Know the current limits
The app does not update warehouse stock, send the order automatically or create an approval chain. Receipt corrections remain manual and audited.
