Plan an offline checkout test for a busy shop

Prepare a small test

List a few products with barcodes, prices and tax treatment. Prepare a scanner, receipt printer and a cash float if those devices are part of your shop.

Work through the task

Run a short checkout session in ApexPOS using both scanned and manually selected products. Try a discount, a cash sale and a return only if those actions are available in your installed edition. Then compare the transaction list with the physical till and the printed receipts.

Check the result

Test one deliberately unreadable barcode and one item with no price. At close, reconcile sales, refunds and the opening float against the drawer, and repeat after an internet outage.
