Controls

Some menus and settings require keyboard or mouse. Physical-controller compatibility testing is ongoing; no Xbox console compatibility is claimed.

How do I win?

Collect green scrap to level up and choose upgrades. Survive your contract's timer and eliminate every overseer before it ends. The Scrapyard and Foundry each have a late overseer; Silent Relay has two. If an overseer is still active when the timer ends, extraction fails even if you have hull remaining.

What does the pulse do?

It damages nearby enemies, clears nearby hostile projectiles, and pulls dropped scrap toward you. It must recharge before reuse. Upgrades can shorten the cooldown, increase its radius, or improve its damage.

What are the orange floor circles?

The Foundry's vents cycle between safe, warning, and active states. Move away when a vent warns; standing in an active vent damages your hull.

Does it need an internet connection?

The game itself works offline. Store installation, purchases, and updates use Microsoft's services. There is no multiplayer, account sign-in, cloud save, or Xbox network achievement integration.

Where are my records?

Run records and settings are saved locally. They persist when you close and reopen the same installation. A browser preview and the installed Windows edition have separate storage; records do not transfer between them.

Stuttering, small text, or distracting effects?

Open Settings and enable Reduced effects or Larger interface text. You can also adjust sound volume and enable High contrast. Close other demanding apps and check your Windows graphics drivers if performance remains poor. The current package targets x64 Windows PCs.

Why did the game pause?

The game pauses when its window becomes inactive or a previously connected controller disconnects. Return to the window, reconnect the controller if needed, and choose Resume Shift.

Release availability

The first Microsoft Store release is being prepared at a planned US base price of $4.99. It is not yet published or certified. Regional prices will depend on the Store. For purchases after release, use the Microsoft billing and account support pages for payment and refund assistance.
